Care & Cleaning Guide
1. General Care Guidelines (Applicable to All Products)
Handle with Care: Glass and crystal are fragile. When moving, support the bottom or stable part with both hands; avoid lifting by edges or hanging parts to prevent slips and collisions.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Keep products away from high heat sources (e.g., radiators, fireplaces, sunlit windowsills) or low-temperature environments. Sudden temperature changes may cause cracking or clouding.
Prevent Scratches: Place away from sharp objects (e.g., knives, metal ornaments). Do not use hard brushes, scouring pads, or steel wool during cleaning to avoid surface scratches.
Regular Dusting: Dust accumulates easily over time. Gently wipe surfaces with a soft dry cloth weekly to maintain clarity and reduce cleaning difficulty.
2. Product-Specific Cleaning Methods
1. Glass Wall Art
Daily Cleaning: Use a microfiber dry cloth or anti-static duster to gently wipe along the artwork’s texture, removing surface dust without pressing hard.
Deep Cleaning: For fingerprints or stains, dampen a soft cloth with a small amount of neutral detergent (e.g., mild dish soap), wring it out, and gently wipe the stained area. Dry immediately with a clean cloth. Do not let water seep into the frame or hanging parts to prevent mold or rust.
Notes: Avoid direct rinsing with water or leaving detergent residue (which may cause discoloration). Remove the artwork from the wall and clean it on a flat surface to prevent falls.
2. Crystal Suncatcher
Daily Cleaning: Wipe the crystal surface with a soft chamois or lens cloth to remove dust and fingerprints, preserving its refractive shine.
Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, soak the crystal part in warm water with 1–2 drops of neutral dish soap for 5 minutes. Gently brush crevices with a soft brush (e.g., makeup brush, toothbrush), rinse with clean water, pat dry with a cloth, and air-dry naturally.
Notes: Avoid cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia (may damage crystal coatings). Wipe metal chains/strings with a dry cloth—do not submerge in water to prevent oxidation.
3. Glass Flower
Daily Cleaning: Gently brush dust from petal and stem crevices with a soft wool brush, or blow away dust with a hair dryer on the cool setting.
Deep Cleaning: For petal stains, dampen a soft cloth with neutral detergent, gently wipe, then dry immediately. Avoid excessive force on stem joints to prevent petals from falling off.
Notes: Due to delicate craftsmanship, avoid submerging the entire piece in water to prevent water from seeping into joints and causing adhesive failure.
4. Glass Vase
Daily Cleaning: Rinse the interior with clean water after each water change, and wipe the exterior dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
Limescale/Stain Removal: For limescale or plant residue, fill with warm water + a small amount of white vinegar or baking soda, soak for 10–15 minutes, gently scrub the interior with a long-handle bottle brush, rinse thoroughly, and dry upside down.
Notes: Do not pour boiling water (risk of cracking) or use hard objects to scrape the interior (may scratch the glass).
5. Glass Bookends
Daily Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a dry soft cloth to remove dust. For dirty non-slip pads, gently wipe with a damp cloth and air-dry.
Stain Removal: For fingerprints or oil stains, dampen a soft cloth with neutral detergent, gently wipe, and dry immediately to keep surfaces dry.
Notes: Distribute weight evenly when placing books to avoid cracking from uneven pressure. Do not submerge bookends in water (may damage metal or non-slip components).
3. Prohibited Practices
Forbidden Cleaners: Avoid strong acids, alkalis, or abrasive agents (e.g., toilet cleaner, scouring powder), which may corrode glass/crystal surfaces.
Forbidden Tools: Do not use steel wool, hard brushes, blades, or other sharp tools (risk of scratching).
Chemical Contact: Keep away from cosmetics, perfume, oil, and other chemicals to prevent stubborn stains and maintain appearance.
